There will be 11 Toyota Cowboys on the field when the Northern Pride host reigning Intrust Super Cup premiers Mackay Cutters at Barlow Park on Saturday night.

North Queensland coach Paul Green today confirmed that seven of his NRL squad members would line up for the Pride in the first northern derby of the year, while another four will be in the Cutters’ 17.

Joel Riethmuller and Anthony Mitchell, who were teammates for the Cowboys in the 42-14 victory against Parramatta at 1300SMILES Stadium last Saturday night, will be on rival teams this time – Riethmuller for the Pride and Mitchell for the Cutters.

It will be the first derby game for Cutters duo Zac Santo and John Asiata and for the Pride’s Javid Bowen and Cameron King.

The other Cowboys on display will be Robert Lui, Kyle Feldt, Ethan Lowe and Ricky Thorby for the Pride and Sam Hoare for Mackay.

With six wins from seven matches, the Cairns club are on top of the ISC ladder, while the Cutters, three points outside the top five in 11th position, will be shooting for three straight victories.

Kick off is at 5.30pm.
