Pledging 2020 full season membership

The following terms and conditions relate to full season members who choose to pledge their 2020 full season membership.

1. Definition of 'pledging membership'

To pledge your 2020 full season membership means that your membership payments made to date to the Cowboys will be retained as a donation despite no guarantee of any further home game attendance in 2020.  

1. 2020 full season members who pledge their 2020 membership agree to receive the following benefits:

a) Receive a 15% loyalty discount upon renewing their membership each year for 2021-2025

b) Retain their seat allocation for 2021 (subject to COVID-19 restrictions)

c) Receive a membership price freeze for 2021

d) Attend any crowd-allowed regular season home game in 2020, subject to Queensland Government COVID-19 roadmap on gathering restrictions and noting that your seat allocation may temporarily change as a result. 

e) Have their name included on the 25th Anniversary Thank You board

2. 15% loyalty discount for pledging members

a) For members who do not currently receive a historical loyalty discount, who choose to pledge their membership, will now receive a 15% discount for 2021-2025. 

a) For members who are already receiving a 5% or 10% historical loyalty program discount and choose to pledge their 2020 membership, their discount will increase to 15% inclusive for 2021-2025. 

b) For members who are already receiving a 15% historical loyalty discount and choose to pledge their membership, their discount will move to 20% for 2021-2025.

c) To receive the 15% loyalty discount for the years 2021-2025, pledging members must hold a continuous membership for this period. I.e. Must renew their membership each year for 2021-2025. 

3. Prize freeze for 2021

The freeze on membership prices for 2020 members renewing for 2021 is guaranteed for the 2021 season only. 

4. Retaining seat allocation for 2021

a) 2020 pledging members will retain their seat allocation for the 2021 season. 

b) Members will receive communication from the club during 2020 giving two weeks notice that their membership will rollover for the 2021 season. Members will then have the opportunity to confirm their membership for 2021, change or upgrade seats. 

5. Pledging members 'Thank You' board 

a) All members who pledge their membership will have their name appear on the '25th Anniversary Thank You' board at Queensland Country Bank Stadium. 

b) All names associated with the membership will be printed on the board. Please advise the membership team by emailing membership@cowboys.com.au if you do not wish for this to occur. 

6. All full season members who choose to pledge their 2020 membership before 4pm, Friday 12 June 2020 will go into the draw to win one of 10 signed 2020 Cowboys jerseys. 

Competition terms and conditions: 

The Promoter is Cowboys Rugby League Football Limited, Golf Links Drive, Kirwan Qld 4817. ABN: 28 060 382 961. Entry to this promotion is restricted to current 2020 full season members of the Cowboys Rugby League Football Club who choose to pledge their 2020 membership before 4pm, Friday 12 June. Promotion commences at 8.30am, Friday 22 May and closes at 4pm, Friday 12 June 2020. Confirmation of agreeing to pledge membership must be received via the MyCowboys online account manager website by this time to be eligible. The winner will be randomly drawn on Monday 15 June 2020 and notified by phone or email that day. Prize: 10 x signed 2020 Cowboys jerseys. 10 winners in total.

Cancelling 2020 full season membership 

The following terms and conditions relate to full season members who choose to cancel their 2020 full season membership.

1. 2020 full season members who cancel their 2020 membership by accessing a return, agree that the benefits assigned to rollover memberships will no longer apply: 

a) They will not automatically retain their seat allocation for 2021.

b) They will not receive a membership price freeze for 2021.

2. Cancelling members will still be entitled to the following benefit:

a) Attend any crowd-allowed regular season home game in 2020 and these additional games would be deducted from the amount returned. Please note: seat allocation may be based on COVID-19 restrictions.

3. Return on membership investment for cancelling members

a) The return on investment (less received value and a $25 per account administration fee) can be accessed once the 2020 season officially concludes (estimated at 25 October 2020)

a) 'Received value' references the sum of the services that you have received to date as a 2020 full season member of the Cowboys. It incorporates charges that represent the value of your attendance at one home game as well as the receipt of your membership pack or voucher and access to our core member benefits (described below).  As an example, if you have a tier one adult diamond membership valued at $810 per season, we would firstly deduct $55.00 (representing the receipt of your pack or voucher and core member benefits) and secondly, we would deduct 1/12th of the remaining amount ie $62.92 (representing your attendance at our first home game versus the Broncos). Consequently, your received value would equal $117.92.

b) 'Core member benefits' references the access you receive to a range of offers that are limited to our member base and include: 10% off merchandise; 10% off tickets and exclusive buying window for home game one; access to special offers such as the Elton John ticket giveaways and Kayo pricing; and access to our members' seat preview. Please note that we have calculated your entitlement to a voucher or pack and access to core member benefits as being equivalent to our supporter memberships ($55 for adults and concessions and $45 for children). 

 c) A $25 administration fee per account will be deducted from the cancelling members return on investment.
