Kangaroo and North Queensland Toyota Cowboys halfback Michael Morgan has been named at No.19 for Saturday's final World Cup pool clash with Lebanon after appearing in the opening two Test wins over England and France.

Morgan was pragmatic about his inclusion in the squad prior to Tuesday's announcement.

"If he [coach Mal Meninga] asks me what I'd rather do, then I'll say I'd rather play. I'll be honest and say that," Morgan said.

"But I'll understand if I don't as well. He said to us at the start of the camp that everyone would have a good run before we went into any semi-final-type game.

"Hopefully I get a chance to play but if not, I'll understand because it's only fair."

Morgan on his preferred Test position:

"I had one game on each side of the field, which is different.

"But it doesn't really bother me too much what side I'm playing, besides combinations. That's what's hardest to get at the moment - building combinations when you don't have a lot of time together.

"I've enjoyed both games and hopefully I can hang onto a spot."

Morgan on playing Lebanon:

"I know they had a good game against France last week and came away with a late win. And I saw the scoreline of the England game too. It was fairly tight through the game.

"They'll be the same as France. They'll come out and try and make a statement and prove a point. We'll have to be ready for it, prepare well and try and build through the week."
