Our newest Cowboy, hulking prop Jordan McLean, paid a quick visit to his new home recently as he transitions to life in the tropical north.
Signed to the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys on a three-year deal from the 2018 season, the 26-year-old New South Welshman has had a hectic time of it lately since helping the Melbourne Storm to the 2017 NRL Telstra Premiership.
The Victorian-based team clinically defeated the Cowboys in the decider, with McLean now having the golden chance to help deliver premiership success to the very team he helped vanquish earlier this month.
During his lightning visit north, McLean made some living arrangements and popped into Cowboys HQ to train with fellow Australia representative and future club teammate Michael Morgan, before the pair linked up with their Kangaroos teammates ahead of the 2017 Rugby League World Cup starting this Friday.
McLean and Morgan flew to Melbourne on Sunday and will spend the rest of the week training with the team ahead of the Cup opener against England at AAMI Park.
McLean will start pre-season training with the Cowboys in the new year.
