The Haslberg family recently moved back to Townsville to be closer to family after spending 15 years living in Cairns, with the Silver Star members attending the Cowboys v Storm Friday night home game.
Dad Aaron, sons Adrian and Ryan and grandmother Lyn were surprised with an upgrade to front-row seats at the game, thanks to membership partner Shine Lawyers!
Aaron said he couldn’t have been happier than to spend the game with his Cowboys-mad mother, Lyn.
“It means a lot (being on the Shine Sofa) as I just moved back last year, and we take my mum to almost every game … we were speechless and blown away!” he said.
“We moved back to spend more time with my mother who has already survived cancer multiple times so we want to spoil her every chance we get.”
The father of three has followed the Cowboys since their inception in 1995, but only recently joined as a Silver Star member seeing the value it offered his passionate Cowboys family.
“Membership represents great value and makes it more affordable for our humble family.”
After suffering a back injury earlier this year requiring surgery, Aaron felt that the flexible three-game option was also the best fit, knowing he may not be able to make every home game.
“I joined this year so I could take my two eldest boys and my mum, but couldn’t guarantee which games I could go to, but have still managed to make almost all games this season," he said.
“We will definitely be full season members next year – go Cowboys!”
