LGIAsuper Community Hub welcomes the Townsville Hospital Foundation for tonight's game, with information and giveaways for members and fans.

As Queensland’s largest regional hospital, the Townsville Hospital provides medical services to one of the biggest geographical regions in the state, generously serviced by over 120 volunteers from the Townsville Hospital Foundation (THF).

Operating since 1989, the local charity raises funds to provide medical equipment and in-patient facilities, as well as focusing on innovation research to improve long-term outcomes for North Queenslanders.

Marketing and volunteer coordinator Megan King said the organisation is looking forward to meeting Cowboys members and fans at LGIAsuper Community Hub.

“Our staff and volunteers genuinely love interacting with people from the North Queensland community; after all, they are the patients, visitors and staff members that we help to make a difference for through our work,” King said.

“The main thing we will be telling people is that we are a 100% local charity, with all money raised to stay and benefit our community.”

One of their greatest achievements to date is raising over $1.2 million for the redevelopment of the Children’s Ward, with the hope that the changes will make the ward feel as much like home as possible.

LGIAsuper is proud to partner with the Townsville Hospital Foundation, which supports hundreds of North Queensland patients and families during their stay at the Townsville Hospital.

Teaming up with the Cowboys gives LGIAsuper the opportunity to drive positive change through education and social initiatives, so be sure to visit the Community Hub and learn more about the important work this organisation is doing in your community!
