National Youth Competition's Cowboys squad withstood a late charge from the NYC Roosters to complete their Round 21 run out as victors, 34-30 at Allianz Stadium.

The Roosters scored four tries in the last 15 minutes of the game to give the Cowboys a real shake-up but Cowboys fullback Kalyn Ponga put the result out of doubt with a try four minutes from the final whistle.

Winger Murray Taulagi bagged a double in the first half, while Roosters backrower Jarred Anderson was sent from the field eight minutes into the second half for foul play.
