Masculine muscle will be traded for feminine fitness today, as a full bench of Cowboys Push-Up Girls take to the sidelines for the Round 20 match-up between the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys and the Warriors for Women in League Round.

The Cowboys Push-Up Boys are a familiar part of the on-field action at 1300SMILES Stadium each home game, but will take a break this round to let their female counterparts flex some muscle, matching the team's points from tries scored with the same number of push-ups on the sideline.

Newly titled Cowboys Push-Up Girl, Kate will don the WIL colours this weekend, along with her three colleagues, and says she is really looking forward to the opportunity to represent women.

“It's an honour to be part of the Women in League Round and it’s something I really believe in – enabling women to be included, respected and engaged equally in rugby league.

“I’m sure it will be a test of our fitness because the boys [Cowboys] will put on a good show to drive up the scoreboard numbers, but I still think it will be a really enjoyable experience!

“There's nothing quite like the atmosphere of thousands of Cowboys fans in the stadium at a home game cheering their hearts out. It's something I'm super excited to be a part of.”

Gates open: 5pm / NYC: 5.10pm / NRL: 7.30pm
