Out & about: Adopt-a-School

North Queensland Toyota Cowboys Javid Bowen and Michael Morgan, along with their teammates, went back to the classroom this week for the Cowboys Adopt-a-School program, thanks to major partner Stockland Townsville.

Javid Bowen & Holy Spirit Catholic School

Hunter Kremmer, a student at Holy Spirit Catholic School had been asking his teacher for a special visit from their adopted Cowboy Javid, but was told that Javid would only visit if the young pupil worked hard on improving his reading.

Needless to say, Hunter put in the effort and is now reading brilliantly, and was rewarded with some special one-on-one reading time with his hero!

Michael Morgan & Marian Catholic School

The Year 2 and 3 buddy class are training hard for their upcoming Mount-a-thon, so their adopted Cowboy Morgo helped out with some fitness preparation.

The Cowboys make over 650 visits to North Queensland schools each year for Adopt-a-School and are regularly involved in a variety of school community activities, including curriculum activities, sporting clinics, presentation nights and school assemblies.
