Barry "Uncle Buck" Buchanan is ‘the’ quintessential North Queenslander and part of the heart and soul of the Toyota Cowboys.

The retired Bowen schoolteacher, sports administrator and diehard rugby league fan has been part of the Cowboys story since day one … even before.

From the club's inception into the National Rugby League in 1995, Uncle Buck has selflessly volunteered his time at the club, working under a succession of head coaches to ensure training sessions run smoothly, equipment is available and in top nick, jerseys washed and facilities maintained.

In 2008, Uncle Buck was made the club’s second Life Member and is one of only two non-playing club men to have earned the honour.

We are proud to bring you the Uncle Buck story, thanks to Bundaberg Rum and Fox Sports!
