A new fundraising initiative for the charity arm of the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys, sales from the popular discount book will see 20% from each entertainment membership go straight back to the Foundation, totalling $12 from every purchase of the Townsville edition.

Cowboys Community Foundation director Fiona Pelling said the philanthropic program will help the Foundation achieve its goals of delivering a host of education and social programs for the North Queensland region.

“We aim to improve our community through education, health, employment and social outcomes. These improvements come at a cost, so with the help of our supporters, we hope to achieve big things,” Ms Pelling said.

“Research shows a social return of $8 for every $1 invested in improving education outcomes for the most disadvantaged, so the 20% contribution from these sales will go a long way in supporting our work at NRL Cowboys House, and across our community programs.”

The Cowboys Community Foundation operates programs that create hope and opportunity and address some of the challenges faced by our young people on their journey through education to employment and adult life.

All of the Foundation’s education-based programs focus on using the unique power of the Cowboys brand to engage young people and their families to influence and change perceptions, behaviours and habits.
