Life-changing opportunities are happening across the region, with the first class of Cowboys Dream, Believe, Achieve students for 2017 completing their formal in-class training.

Enrol now for Cert III in Hospitality, commencing 2 May!

The first intake of 24 students have completed a Certificate III Hospitality course, with many progressing to full-time paid employment with industry partners across North Queensland.

Cowboys Dream, Believe, Achieve is a training and employment program delivering accredited courses to unemployed and disadvantaged North Queenslanders, with mentoring support to assist in completing training and securing ongoing paid employment.

According to Cowboys general manager – community Fiona Pelling, 2017's first class was one of the more close-knit groups the program had seen, and their strong bond helped them support each other along the way.

“The program is all about helping each student to achieve their goals, and to find long-term employment,” Ms Pelling said.

“Our focus is on providing training, qualifications and support for the students to turn their new skills into paid employment – and the supportive environment of the program helps students achieve that.

“We’re now looking for the next group of students to enrol in the program – the course is open to people of all ages and backgrounds, so let us help you achieve your dreams!”

Established in 2015, Dream, Believe, Achieve has successfully helped hundreds of North Queenslanders gain an industry-recognised qualification and find long-term employment.

This training is proudly funded and supported by the Queensland Government through its Skilling Queenslanders for Work initiative.
