Captain America call to arms!

North Queensland Toyota Cowboys forward Ethan Lowe won’t admit to being a hero to young fans, but his kit will say otherwise when he dons the Marvel Captain America jersey for tonight's Round 5 match against the Rabbitohs.

The Cowboys’ face of Marvel Round – where participating teams wear specially-designed jerseys themed on Marvel superheroes – Lowe said the jersey looked great and he hoped members and fans got plenty out of seeing the Cowboys’ new look.

“It’s a bit of fun and the boys have been giving me a fair bit of stick about it,” Lowe said of his 'superhero' status.

Turning his attention to the game, Lowe said the Bunnies would be a dangerous proposition despite having registered just one win from their first four games.

Both teams have lost leading players to season-ending knee injuries – Matt Scott (Cowboys) and Greg Inglis (Rabbitohs) – but Lowe knows Friday’s night’s opponents will come ready to play.

“Any team being led by Sam Burgess … you know you’ll have a contest on your hands,” Lowe said.

The Cowboys are expected to run an unchanged team on to the field.

The game at 1300SMILES Stadium kicks off at 7.05pm tonight.
