North Queensland Toyota Cowboys General Manager – Football Peter Parr says he's excited by the prospect of Jason Taumalolo-led teams of the future running on at the club’s new home.

Speaking after the club's announcement that Taumalolo had agreed to a massive 10-year contract extension, Parr said Cowboys teams in 2020 and beyond were a mouth-watering proposition.

With the expected retirement of several key club veterans over the coming years, Parr's hope is that Taumalolo, young tyro Coen Hess and Jordan McLean will form the bedrock of the team’s forward pack.

And with the team expected to be playing out of a new stadium in Townsville’s CBD from 2020 onwards, those forwards would combine with emerging backline stars to form a side that would be a huge drawcard for members and fans.

Hess, 20, is contracted to the club until 2019 but will be a key retention target longer-term, while current Melbourne Storm player McLean, 25, will start his Cowboys journey in 2018 on an initial three-year deal.
