Another of the Cowboys crop of young guns who have come up through the club’s pathways system, 22-year-old forward Patrick Kaufusi continued to make strides in his NRL career after debuting in 2015.

Playing limited minutes off the bench in a side stacked with back-row talent, Kaufusi took his limited opportunities with both hands, often battling with John Asiata for that fourth spot on the interchange bench.

A strong ball runner, Kaufusi was efficient across his 12 matches, which included a block of six straight games in the middle part of the season.
