North Queensland Toyota Cowboys head coach Paul Green will run out his Round 12 team against the St George Illawarra Dragons tonight unchanged from the 17 named on Tuesday.

The fourth-placed Cowboys will be looking for a strong showing against the 12th-placed Dragons, but will be without their State of Origin contingent of Johnathan Thurston, Matt Scott, Michael Morgan and Justin O'Neill (Queensland) and James Tamou (New South Wales).

Jahrome Hughes has been named at five-eighth and will play his first Cowboys National Rugby League game and his second NRL game overall after debuting for the Titans way back in 2013.

Teenage back-rower Coen Hess will also play his second NRL game after debuting last year, and will be joined on the interchange bench by Rory Kostjasyn, John Asiata and Patrick Kaufusi.

Gavin Cooper will captain the side in the absence of Thurston and Scott.

The game kicks off at 7.30pm at WIN Stadium.
