The positive reverberations of the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys’ ground-breaking 2015 NRL Premiership continue to ring out across the off-season with the club proudly announcing Westfund Health as a community partner.

The regional health insurance provider will be the club’s official health fund after inking a three-year deal with the newly crowned champions. The new partnership positions Westfund Health as a valued community partner, which will see them take an active role in the community in Townsville, Mackay and Cairns. Westfund Health will also recognise community volunteers at Cowboys home games.

Westfund Health CEO Grahame Danaher said the Cowboys partnership struck a perfect balance between two high-performing businesses with a strong presence in North Queensland. Westfund Health has offices throughout Cowboys country: in Townsville, Mackay, Rockhampton, Moranbah and Emerald.

“We’re delighted to have partnered with the Cowboys, who have had an outstanding year on and off the field, and look forward to being a part of their future success,” Mr Danaher he said.

“Westfund Health prides itself on its commitment to regional Queensland and the Cowboys are the pride of North Queensland, so for us, this newly struck partnership is timely, relevant and full of possibility.

“Building strong connections within the communities in which we operate are cornerstones of what we’re about at Westfund Health, and to have the opportunity to work with the Cowboys in this sector is exciting.”

Club CEO Greg Tonner welcomed Westfund Health into the Cowboys family, saying that having strong, connected corporate partnerships stood the club in good stead moving forward.

“With Westfund Health, we believe we’ve backed a winner by partnering with a regional business whose people understand the importance of community,” he said
