THE North Queensland Toyota Cowboys are proud to announce the retention of front-of-shorts sponsor JLT (Jardine Lloyd Thompson) for a further two seasons.

The insurance providers – who have regional Queensland offices in Townsville and Cairns – have been a long-term sponsor of the club.

Heading into the 2015 season’s Round 16 game against the Cronulla Sharks at 1300SMILES Stadium, JLT increased their existing level of sponsorship and had their logo proudly displayed on the playing shorts of the National Rugby League team. That commitment is set to continue for the 2016-17 seasons following the Cowboys’ historic 2015 premiership.

Of the newly struck sponsorship agreement, JLT’s Managing Director Enterprise Solutions Nick Harris said: “JLT are delighted to have re-signed our sponsorship agreement with the North Queensland Cowboys.

“As a club that represents its northern Queensland community so well, we are very proud of our long-term association and wish them all the best for the coming season as defending premiers!”

The company also has the naming rights to the JLT Captains’ Lounge at 1300SMILES Stadium for all Cowboys home games.

Like the Cowboys, JLT has a rich history in North Queensland and have been servicing the insurance needs of the region’s businesses for over 30 years.

Cowboys CEO Greg Tonner said the renewal of a valued sponsor such as JLT was a win-win for both parties.

“At the Cowboys, we pride ourselves on being connected to our North Queensland communities and it’s obvious that JLT shares those same values,” he said.

“So to have JLT extend their partnership with us for another two years is a match made in heaven, and we look forward to continuing to work closely together for mutual benefit.”

JLT is a leading global provider of insurance, reinsurance and employee benefits-related advice, brokerage and associated services. With offices in 24 locations across Australia and New Zealand and over 1200 employees, the company offers risk management and employee benefit solutions to a variety of public and private sector clients.
