CEO statement - ASADA investigations

The North Queensland Toyota Cowboys have today provided the Australian Sports Anti-Doping Authority with the information it required from the club after receiving the Australian Crime Commission’s report last week.
“It is important to point out that at no time were any allegations made against the Cowboys,” CEO Peter Jourdain said today.
“We were asked to co-operate with ASADA’s investigations and provide some information which we have now done.
“As far as we are concerned, and aware, our involvement with ASADA on this issue has concluded.
“However, our club does feel aggrieved that our minor role in this situation was made public.
“In our case, this situation could have been dealt with in a couple of hours on Monday afternoon had we been contacted before it was announced that NRL clubs had been mentioned in the ACC report.
“Given the seriousness of this matter, we will explore our legal options regarding this issue at the appropriate time.
“We thank our members and fans for their huge support over the past few days.”
