Finals series jersey auction a great success

Just over $15,000 has been raised for charity from the online auction of North Queensland Toyota Cowboys signed jerseys from the 2012 NRL finals series.
Hundreds of bids were received from Cowboys members and supporters in a one-off chance to secure a unique piece of North Queensland finals memorabilia.
Each Cowboys team member, including two-time Dally M Medal winner Johnathan Thurston, games record holder Matthew Bowen and reigning International Prop of the Year Matthew Scott, signed the jerseys they wore in the victory against the Broncos at Dairy Farmers Stadium and the controversial loss to Manly at Allianz Stadium.
By the time the auction ended, the generous winning bidders had donated in excess of $15,000 to BUSHKids and the Cowboys Community Fund.
BUSHkids is a non-Government, community organisation which offers a range of free allied health services to children and families living in rural Queensland, while The Cowboys Community Fund, supported by Coca-Cola Amatil, fosters community support and spirit in North Queensland.
Since its establishment in 2005, the Community Fund has granted in excess of $100,000 in funding to North Queensland applicants.
