Cowboys continue Secret Santa mission

Brent Tate and Ash Graham today became the latest North Queensland Cowboys to spread some Christmas cheer as part of the Cowboys’ Random Acts of Kindness Week.
North Queensland’s NRL squad members are visiting a variety of locations over the five-day period giving away vouchers and presents and paying bills for unsuspecting shoppers.
Each location is kept secret but we will keep you updated on what’s taking place on www.cowboys.com.au.
Tate and Graham visited the Townsville Hospital and with the help of the Townsville Hospital Foundation handed out a range of Cowboys goodies to kids who are currently in the Children’s Ward and adults in the Rehabilitation Ward.
“We know from previous times we’ve been here how much these sort of visits can lift the spirits of those who are going through a bit of a rough time in their lives,” Tate said.
“It must be tough being in hospital at this time of year or having someone you love in hospital so anything we can do to help is great.
“We’ve met a lot of Cowboys fans, handed over some presents, signed some autographs, had our photos taken which has put some smiles on faces.”
Six other NRL clubs are involved in the Secret Santa missions this week while others will host Christmas parties for special fans and charities.
The Cowboys have already staged a Members Christmas Party for their 2012 members and those who have signed on for 2013.
