There's a whole lot to look forward to in season 2013 - here's your A-Z guide to what's in store for our North Queensland Toyota Cowboys and our loyal members and supporters!
HAVE YOUR SAY! What's your highlight for the 2013 campaign ahead? Add your comments below.
ASHLEY: The 2011 Cowboy of the Year is closing in on a couple of big career milestones – he's just three games away from playing 150 for North Queensland and 12 short of 200 for his NRL career.
BOWEN: After coming close to the Dally M Medal in 2012, can Matthew Bowen go one better in 2013? Our number one has had an interrupted pre-season following shoulder surgery but will be ready to go in round one.
COOPS: Could this be the year that Gavin Cooper forces his way into the Queensland State of Origin team? Making a winning team is tough but Coops has developed into an outstanding ball-running back-rower who has a great combination with Johnathan Thurston.
DEFENCE: The Cowboys are working hard on becoming one of the top four defensive teams in the NRL. In 2012, they ran sixth defensively, although the points conceded per game was a North Queensland record.
ENGLISHMAN: If Scott Moore is selected in the Cowboys’ NRL team, he’ll become the club’s first player to hail from England. The hooker has been impressive so far in his first pre-season in the tropics.
FAIFAI LOA: There’s no doubt Kalifa Faifai Loa won’t look back too fondly on 2012, but 2013 is a new season and a chance for the New Zealand international to regain his NRL starting spot – there's stiff competition for the wing positions again in the coming season though.
GREENSHIELDS: After six years with the Catalan Dragons in Super League, Clint Greenshields is back in the NRL with the Cowboys on a one-year contract. He is the French club’s top try-scorer of all time and should be a very handy backline depth signing for North Queensland.
