  • Q. How is the scheduling determined for matches?
Please note that the Cowboys submit time slots to the NRL that are most suitable to our members and supporters, however, it is ultimately at the discretion of the NRL what time slots we are allocated for the season.

    Q. When are game dates & times confirmed?
The ARL Commission releases games late in the year prior to the following season.

    Q. How far is the Stadium from Townsville city centre?
1300SMILES Stadium is 15kms or approximately 20 minutes drive from the city centre, however, with marquee games traffic congestion can be expected.

    Q. Where can I get help to find accommodation in Townsville on the night of a home game?
Contact Jupiters Townsville to discuss your accommodation needs - visit www.jupiterstownsville.com.au. Jupiters is the official accommodation provider for the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys.

    Q. Is there parking available at 1300SMILES Stadium?

Existing 2012 season car park holders will have first option to renew parking spaces for season 2013.

When their renewal deadline has passed, we will advise other members that parks are on sale. Allocation will be on a “first in, first served” basis.

Subject to availability, game-by-game car park tickets will be available for purchase through the Cowboys administration office during business hours.

    Q. What alternatives are there to driving to 1300SMILES Stadium?
For full details on public transport and the Park & Ride bus service to 1300SMILES Stadium, visit www.cowboys.com.au/transport.

    Q. Can I smoke and drink at the stadium?
1300SMILES Stadium is a smoke free venue. If you wish to smoke you must obtain a pass-out to exit the venue and return. Spectators will be required to keep their ticket with them at all times and will be issued a pass out voucher on exit from the stadium. Exits are available at all gate entrances. No food or drink will be permitted to leave the venue. Alcohol consumption is restricted to within the boundary fence and under no circumstances will alcohol be permitted to leave the venue.

Please note that both the venue and catering company actively practice the responsible service of alcohol and will take action against patrons who breach regulations.

Non-alcohol areas are available in Bays 305 and 306 of the Northern Grandstand. A designated non-alcohol area is also available in the south-west corner of the general admission area.

    Q. Are there restrictions on what I can bring into the stadium?
Any person found entering the stadium with any of the following items will be refused entry or asked to remove the item from their possession:

    • Weapons
    • Fireworks & flares
    • Hard edge eskies
    • Flags displaying political or offensive messages
    • Fold up chairs
    • Commercial food (eg KFC, pizza)
    • Prams*
    • Other such objects which may be used as a missile

*For safety and capacity issues, prams and strollers will not be permitted access into 1300SMILES Stadium. Prams brought into the venue can be 'cloaked' at the gate at which the person gained entry and will be available for collection on exit of the venue.

    Q. Can you make a birthday/congratulatory announcement for me at a home game?
Unfortunately, due to the volume of information we are already committed to presenting on a game night, we are unable to offer public announcements of this nature.

    Q. When will JRL cards be allowed entry?
JRL cards are usually accepted into the stadium for the first hour of gates opening unless otherwise promoted. Please note JRL cards will not be accepted at marquee games or sell outs. To find out more information please contact your school or Junior Rugby League team. JRL card information will be advised on advertisements leading up to the game.
