Adopt-a-School

Program

Adopt-a-School is the North Queensland Toyota Cowboys' cornerstone community program, reinvesting in the Townsville school community.

This program was established as a long-term social commitment to North Queensland school communities, and gives participating schools the opportunity to utilise their 'adopted' Cowboy as a role model for their students.

The Toyota Cowboys have collectively made over 650 visits each year to schools in the local community and have been involved in curriculum activites, sporting clinics, presentation nights, school assemblies and a variety of other school community activities.

The program theme, 'Eat Well, Play Well, Stay Well' supports the NRL One Community health initiative, and each participating school uses their Cowboy to assist them in sharing these messages with the aim of maintaining a healthy school community.

PROGRAM SPONSOR

The North Queensland Toyota Cowboys Adopt-a-School program enjoyed its 11th season in 2012, with the support of program sponsor Stockland Townsville.

Stockland’s involvement promotes their commitment to improving the lives of North Queenslanders and reinforces the program’s focus of ‘Eat Well, Stay Well, Play Well’.

The Cowboys and Stockland are working together on the 2013 Adopt-a-School program – stay tuned for more information!
