The North Queensland Toyota Cowboys have consolidated a top two position in the NYC with a convincing 38-14 victory over the Newcastle Knights at Dairy Farmers Stadium.
A try right on half time to Michael Parker-Walshe had the Cowboys going to the break leading 18-10.
Handling errors from both sides punctuated the match, but it was well and truly sealed with a dominant second half Cowboys performance including two tries inside the last ten minutes of play.
While there were plenty of tries scored, it was once again the good work of the Cowboys forwards who paved the foundations of the victory while Michael Parker-Walshe celebrated a three-try haul.
